apud sequioris aevi Latinos, genuflexio est seu inclinatio, ex Graeco μετάνοια, quae vox Graecis citerioribus idem denotat. Duplex autem ea; μεγάλη scil. magna, cum quis totô corpore, sine tamen genuum flexione, se fere ad terram usque antrorsum inclinat; et μικρὰ parva, cum tantum cervicem inclinat et caput aliquonsque.
